Georgia started working with Dr. Jelic as Practice Manager in 2010. She began her career in practice management with her father, a general dentist in Michigan and then spent another 27 years managing periodontal and orthodontic practices. Georgia was one of the first 10 Care Credit instructors in the United States and instrumental in launching Care Credit’s training program when Care Credit was a startup company. She spent the next 10 years teaching dental practices how to present and implement Care Credit.
Her hobbies are cooking, reading, being outside and Detroit Tiger baseball.
She has been happily married to Tom for 28 years and is an aunt to twenty-four nieces, nephews and fifteen great nieces and nephews. She is also a mom to two cats.
Kelly graduated from East Stroudsburg University with a Bachelors in Nursing in Science. She graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors and was a member of Sigma Theta Tau, a national nursing honor society. Kelly has worked in adult and neonatal intensive care units in Maryland, Texas and North Carolina. She was a member of an elite air/ground transport team for five years. Kelly has transitioned into outpatient surgery the last five years of her vast nursing career. Kelly and her family moved from Dallas, Texas to Pittsboro, NC in 2009 to be closer to family. Kelly is BLS and ACLS certified. In her free time, Kelly enjoys exercising, interior decorating and DIY projects.
Before achieving her certification as a Medical Esthetic Professional, Kelly was a cardiac intensive care nurse for 10 years. When Kelly isn’t applying her talents to facial rejuvenation, she assists with our patients’ conscious sedation and post operative recovery and is a CPR instructor. Kelly and Dr. Jelic have two children who enjoy helping in the office as well.
Cortney has been in the dental field for over 7 years. During her years working on the administrative side of the dental industry Cortney has gained experience in Patient Care Coordinating, Scheduling, Treatment Planning and Handling insurance for her patients. Cortney was born and raised in Bahama, NC and has been a Durham Native for 30yrs. In her spare time she enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, listening to live music and making memories with friends and family.
Chloe comes as a local to the Raleigh-Durham area. While earning a Bachelors of Science degree in Communication, Electronic Media Broadcasting and Digital Marketing minor, Chloe gained professional experience working on, and behind the scenes at Appalachian State University’s radio station. Quickly following graduation, Chloe successfully completed her internship working for The Walt Disney Company. Outside of work, Chloe engages in dance, watching stand-up comedy and rocking out to 80s classics!
Karen has been an oral surgical assistant for 40+ years. She started her career in California where she resided for 30 years. Karen is very knowledgeable in the field of Oral Surgery and loves aiding in educating and caring for our patients. She has been an Implant Coordinator, Lead Surgical Assistant, and Clinical Manager over the years. Karen has a bachelor’s in Child and Adolescent Studies, DAII, BLS and DAANCE certified. She moves to North Carolina twelve years ago and resides in the Mebane area. In her spare time, Karen loves going to concerts with her husband Jeff, being outdoors with their two dogs, and spending time with family and friends.
Amanda has been a Surgical Assistant at the Jelic Center since 2020. She moved to North Carolina five years ago with her fiance’ from Boston and they have a crazy 2.5 year old girl. In her free time she enjoys being outside with her family and traveling around the area. Amanda loves working in health care and having the ability to interact with and get to know all of our awesome patients here at the Jelic Center.
