Georgia started working with Dr. Jelic as Practice Manager in 2010, but she has been managing dental practices for over 30 years. She started her career in practice management with her father, a general dentist in Michigan and then spent another 27 years managing periodontal and orthodontic practices. Care Credit came along, saw her abilities and asked her to be one of the first 10 Care Credit instructors in the United States. She spent the next 10 years helping dental practices improve treatment plan presentations and implementing Care Credit into their practices to improve case acceptance.
Georgia enjoys educating patients about the importance of good health. She takes pride in easing their fears, always remembering there are no stupid questions.
Her hobbies are cooking, reading, being outside and Detroit Tiger baseball.
She has been happily married to Tom for 21 years and is an Aunt to 24 nieces, nephews and 15 great nieces and great nephews. She is also mom to two cats.
Lauren is your connection to the Jelic Center! Armed with both a pleasant demeanor and positive attitude, she is an easily accessible resource for anything you may need to ensure premier patient care and communications. Her focus is on what each of our referring doctors need to optimize their partnership with our office.
Lauren received her BS degree from Western Carolina University. As part of her career, she went on to build meaningful relationships in higher education and public speaking to help students earn their degree and career professionals to earn continuing education credits. Among her friends, she’s jokingly referred to as “the cake lady” when they’d like her to bring one of her homemade desserts to a pot luck party.
Kelly graduated from East Stroudsburg University with a Bachelors in Nursing in Science. She graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors and was a member of Sigma Theta Tau, a national nursing honor society. Kelly has worked in adult and neonatal intensive care units in Maryland, Texas and North Carolina. She was a member of an elite air/ground transport team for five years. Kelly has transitioned into outpatient surgery the last five years of her vast nursing career. Kelly and her family moved from Dallas, Texas to Pittsboro, NC in 2009 to be closer to family. Kelly is BLS and ACLS certified. In her free time, Kelly enjoys exercising, interior decorating and DIY projects.
Before achieving her certification as a Medical Esthetic Professional, Kelly was a cardiac intensive care nurse for 10 years. When Kelly isn’t applying her talents to facial rejuvenation, she assists with our patients’ conscious sedation and post operative recovery and is a CPR instructor. Kelly and Dr. Jelic have two children who enjoy helping in the office as well.
Nellie has been an oral surgery assistant for 16 years. She truly enjoys her job mainly because she likes helping people. In her spare time she enjoys traveling and learning about different cultures. She is also a foreign film enthusiast. She has recently married to her husband Sean with whom she now shares in her traveling adventures. She also loves spending time with her family. Nellie is originally from Puerto Rico so she really enjoys salsa dancing and cooking her favorite Puerto Rican meals. In the past Nellie participated in a volunteer work benefiting the deaf. She has done this for the past 11 years and in the process has become fluent in American sign language.
Cortney has been in the dental field for over 7 years. During her years working on the administrative side of the dental industry Cortney has gained experience in Patient Care Coordinating, Scheduling, Treatment Planning and Handling insurance for her patients. Cortney was born and raised in Bahama, NC and has been a Durham Native for 30yrs. In her spare time she enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, listening to live music and making memories with friends and family.
